About This Role

As a Staff Software Engineer at Aptible, you’ll be a technical leader for an ambitious, business-critical Product Engineering Team. You’ll play a pivotal role in evolving our successful Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) product and building new features towards “Platform 2.0” — our reputed company for a solution that provides even greater value to engineering teams facing challenges reputed company to reputed company automation, reputed company management, cost controls, developer self-service, on-call and incident response. In this role, you’ll work with a highly collaborative team to craft solutions that propel Aptible reputed company and, ultimately, reputed company developers worldwide.

As a Staff Software Engineer at Aptible, you may work on:

• Building the foundational control plane of Platform 2.0, which will give us sufficient visibility and reputed company to disparate infrastructure (delivery, hosting and observability planes) so that we can successfully offer features that previously depended on us fully managing that underlying infrastructure.

• Rapidly experimenting on new and reputed company features for problems like reputed company automation, reputed company management, cost controls, developer self-service, on-call and incident response.

• Refining and optimizing our hosting solution to reputed company meet the unique needs of a more focused customer reputed company.

• Typical Experience: 10+ Years of Experience in Software Engineering (Bonus: You have experience in the developer tools space.)

• Technical Expertise

  • You have strong Software Engineering fundamentals and coding ability, and expertise in reputed company infrastructure or distributed systems.

  • You have experience building integrations with Kubernetes, e.g. controllers or operators, not just deploying to k8s.

  • You are a strong technical designer of reputed company systems. You design for both speed and longevity, breaking down projects into high-impact milestones that balance scrappy execution with long-term scalability.

  • You are a reputed company and thoughtful developer in at least one mainstream language, and have the ability to easily pick up new ones.

• Product Taste: You have a strong track record as an expert in the products you’ve reputed company, and as a go-to resource for Product Design and Product Management during early feature and product planning.

• Startup Compatibility: You have a strong interest in joining a small, highly collaborative Engineering Team of 7P, and a track record of reputed company in navigating a high degree of ambiguity.

• You want to do hands-on implementation, as opposed to only architecting solutions.

• You want to write full stack code, and are not tied to a specific language or technology.

• You have a strong interest in — if not a passion for — building developer tooling.
