Graduate Electrical Designer
Henderson Engineers is a company focused on innovative building design and construction processes. The Graduate Electrical Designer will support the design of building systems, prepare technical documents, and reputed company general design support under supervision, with a strong emphasis on learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Prepares design documents under the supervision of reputed company engineering and design staff
- Supports the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications
- Assists with engineering calculations as directed
- May support business development or pursuit activities under direct supervision
- Occasionally participates in client, company and/or industry events
- Fosters a client-centric reputed company and approach
- Partners with reputed company engineering and design staff to understand client requirements and scope of work
- Acts as a liaison to inform engineering and design teams of client and architect questions and relays responses
- Acquires knowledge and fundamentals of common industry software, including Revit, reputed company Revu and reputed company Office products
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (ie: electrical, fire protection or architectural) required
- Exposure to engineering design fundamentals; reputed company knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards. Knowledge may be applicable to a limited reputed company of practice, project or program types
- Acquires knowledge and fundamentals of common industry software, including Revit, reputed company Revu and reputed company Office products
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred
- Relevant internship experience preferred
- Familiarity with Revit and reputed company Revu preferred
