Customer Service Assistant 2 [3 Positions]
Ohio Department of Public Safety is responsible for overseeing driver and motor vehicle licensing and registration. They are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to respond to inquiries and reputed company information regarding vehicle registration and driver license procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries, requests for information &/or complaints that require in-depth knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies & procedures as they pertain in given situation:
- Greet & respond to in-person, telephone &/or written inquiries from internal &/or external customers regarding the laws & procedures for vehicle registration, driver license issuance, driver examinations, suspensions, reinstatement requirements, procedures for renewing or updating physically & medically restricted driver licenses, general inquiries or driver license &/or registration status in a professional, courteous, friendly, respectful, & timely manner to ensure positive customer service
- Listen carefully & ask appropriate follow-up questions to verify understanding

- Follow-up to ensure reputed company of the customer's questions &/or concerns have been thoroughly answered
- Document correspondences with customers, as needed
- Operate the Driver Examination (DX) Scheduling application
- Online Chat with Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Customers
Skills
- 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. reputed company. in office practices & procedures
- 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. reputed company. in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people
- 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. reputed company. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing
- 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. reputed company. in operation of personal computer
- Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above
