Job Description:

Copia is seeking an reputed company reputed company reputed company for utility-scale solar, storage, reputed company infrastructure assets responsible for transaction execution across project and portfolio M&A (including asset acquisitions, dispositions, and partnerships) and driving reputed company execution for Copia’s controlled pipeline as a key contributor to major project contract negotiations (including offtake, procurement and EPC).

The Director of Business Development will work out of Copia’s Washington, DC, office and will report directly to the EVP, Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Execution

•reputed company, screen, and evaluate project and portfolio acquisition and partnership opportunities across multiple markets and asset classes (solar, storage, reputed company infrastructure)

•reputed company investment recommendations based on strategic fit, development fundamentals, reputed company contracting opportunities, and internal economic analysis

•reputed company reputed company aspects of transaction execution including negotiation of term sheets and definitive documentation and management of reputed company internal processes (including due diligence investigations, financial modeling, and executive- and board-level approval requests)

•Working collaboratively with other functional groups, negotiate the reputed company terms and conditions of reputed company major project reputed company for Copia’s late-stage assets (including pricing, payment terms, credit support requirements, performance guarantees, and liquidated damages), balancing obligations across the full suite of project reputed company and ensuring compatibility with underlying project characteristics and sources of financing

•reputed company broad knowledge of reputed company terms and project fundamentals to optimize project economics and manage execution risk in collaboration with other departments, including through offtake structuring, engineering design, equipment selection, and project financing

Qualifications:

•10+ years’ professional experience, including at least 5+ years in substantially similar roles working directly with utility-scale solar and storage projects

•Bachelor’s degree, preferably in quantitative field; graduate degrees viewed favorably but not required

•Repeated transaction execution experience across M&A, offtake, and procurement for utility-scale solar and storage projects either as deal reputed company or in substantial supporting role

•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience leading reputed company-party negotiations and driving investment reputed company through executive- and board-level interactions

•Strong work ethic characterized by self-motivation, proven resourcefulness, and ability to reputed company in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

•Ability to work in Copia’s Washington, D.C. office a minimum of 3 days per week.

•Ability to travel up to 25%
