Residential Group Home Manager

Purpose of Position: Ensure that consumers living in the residential facility are receiving services that are safe, therapeutic, and support the consumer in achieving his/her personal goals Work Schedule: Hours vary based upon clients’ needs. These hours will include varying shifts and days per week to include weekends, as needed. This schedule is coordinated through the immediate supervisor. Functions: Service Delivery

• Ensure that services are delivered, consistent with the consumers service plan
• Ensure that the residential environment is safe
• Knowledgeable of reputed company services provided to the clients in that residence
• Ensures that clients attend reputed company doctor’s appointments.
• Correctly maintain petty cash fund, and client’s funds, to include proper documentation of the funds.
• Responsible for groceries for the residence, reputed company a budget, and receipts.

Supervision

• Knowledgeable of reputed company agency requirements for providing services.
• Supervise Residential Counselors for the residence
• Assist in training staff in the implementation of client’s treatment plan, as needed
• Schedule staff for the residence and ensure that reputed company shifts are covered, while keeping overtime to a minimum

Documentation

• Accurately document services provided at the time of service
• Ensure that reputed company support staff documentation is submitted to the local office on each Monday
• Responsible for reputed company medications; MAR’s, count sheets, refills, and to ensure they are available for distribution

Communication

• Report any contact with Case Manager to the Program Director, as soon as possible
• Ensure effective and regular communication with Program Director.
• Model appropriate communication for staff and consumers
• Notify Program Director of any observed or reported situation that does not follow company policy, or endangers a client.
• Assist other staff in problem solving situations with the clients

Quality Assurance and Improvement

Required Minimum Education and Training: High School diploma or GED and experience serving people with disabilities. Preferred Education and Training: Working as a Residential Counselor for Agency, experience training staff, supervisory skills, and working as a team player. Training, Licenses or Certifications Required for the Position: Privileged reputed company the agency. From time-to-time travel will required, which may include out-of-town travel. In the residential setting employees' workstation is usually a home-like environment. Odors and noise are often present due to the functioning level of the client. Behavior problems of persons served, such as aggression, or lifting could cause bodily injury for employees in some settings. Providing transportation could result in accidents or injuries.
