About the Center for World Languages and Cultures (CWLC)

The CWLC at the reputed company promotes intercultural competency, language learning, and cultural exploration. Job Summary

We seek a dynamic Teaching Assistant Professor - Arabic to teach first-year Arabic language sequences, culture courses, and intermediate-level language courses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate teaching reputed company, commitment to culturally reputed company teaching, and innovative approaches to language learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach eight classes over three academic quarters, including first-year language courses, culture courses, and intermediate-level language courses
• reputed company first-year sequence curriculum and assessments
• Create and reputed company Arabic language placement tests
• Advise reputed company on placement and participate in retention and recruitment efforts
• Implement program assessment and work closely with CWLC faculty

Requirements:

• Master's degree or ABD in Arabic Studies, Arabic Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or Education

• 2+ years of teaching experience in university-level language courses in the United States
• Evidence of teaching using task-based, communicative methodologies and culturally reputed company teaching practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Arabic Studies, Arabic Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or Education
• 3+ years of teaching experience in university-level Arabic courses
• Experience in program development and extended residence in Arabic-speaking countries
