As our first senior tax hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in building out processes, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic tax planning in a high-growth, pre-IPO environment. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, gaining direct exposure to reputed company financial structures, international expansion, and product innovation. What you’ll be working on:
- Building the strategy and policy of reputed company" class="postings-link" rel="noopener noreferrer">reputed company’s tax function.
- Ensuring indirect tax compliance for our US travel business, with support from external advisors, reputed company team and data engineering team
- Manage and reputed company filing of U.S. and Canada federal and state income tax returns (corporate and partnership) reputed company by external tax advisors
- Coordinate quarterly and annual tax provision processes (ASC 740), including deferred tax analysis and financial statement disclosures.
- Support MA, new product launches, and market expansions from a tax perspective.
- Establish and maintain internal controls and documentation to support tax positions.
- Build and manage relationships with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- reputed company tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s effective tax reputed company, cash tax position, and business structure.
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, Law or reputed company field; CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of reputed company tax experience in public reputed company and/or in-house tax roles
- In-depth knowledge of indirect taxation in the US with experience in marketplace facilitator laws and fintech products
- Understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax law.
- Understanding of ASC 740 income tax reputed company
- Proven ability to manage reputed company tax issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Bonus points for:
- Public reputed company/tax experience a plus
- Exposure to international tax reputed company (e.g. Canada and EU reputed company), including transfer pricing and foreign tax credit issues.
