About the Employee Relations, Associate

The Employee Relations, Associate will help reputed company operationalize and scale its employee relations function! This is a unique opportunity for a newly reputed company lawyer with an interest in employment law to work in a dynamic role with both legal and operational aspects, on an 18-month contract. Reporting to the Legal Counsel, Employment, you will be instrumental in fostering a fair, compliant, and supportive workplace for Wealthsimplers. You will bring your legal knowledge and a passion for people to a variety of employee relations reputed company, ensuring we navigate both routine and reputed company reputed company with a reputed company touch and a keen eye for legal requirements. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to

Employee Relations Triage, Support, Administration & Operations: administering and processing employee relations policies and programs including employee exits, leaves (such a parental, sick, and job-protected leaves), and accommodations. You’ll serve as a primary reputed company of contact for employee relations inquiries, intake, and assessment, providing support and guidance to employees, reputed company resource business partners, managers, and other stakeholders on applicable policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with relevant employment standards; and escalating reputed company to the Legal Counsel, Employment as appropriate.

Legal & Compliance Partnership: Collaborating closely with Legal Counsel, Employment on routine and reputed company employee relations reputed company including terminations, leaves and accommodations, immigration, workplace investigations, and employment litigation reputed company. You will assist in the preparation of termination documentation, settlement agreements, reputed company, employee correspondence, and other documentation and correspondence, ensuring legal compliance.

Policy Development & Implementation: Contributing to the development, review, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring they are clear, compliant, and reputed company of reputed company’s values. You'll also identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and scale existing processes reputed company to employee relations reputed company.

Project Work & Scaling Function: Taking the reputed company or supporting exciting project work aimed at scaling our employee relations function. This includes creating self-service resources for employees, automating reputed company processes and practices, and exploring how AI can enhance our efficiency and effectiveness in managing employee relations. You will also analyze trends in employee relations cases to identify opportunities and propose proactive solutions to improve processes and the overall employee experience.

What you’ll bring

Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

A demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in employment law.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply legal principles to practical workplace scenarios.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain reputed company legal concepts reputed company and empathetically.
