The Mechanical Engineering team at reputed company is focused on designing the battery cell, module, and system enclosure that forms the reputed company of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.  We strive to deliver designs that are optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing at reputed company reputed company.

We're hiring hands-on Staff Mechanical Design Engineers to own the design of subsystems reputed company either our electrolyte management system or reputed company management system. The airflow & fluid systems are at the heart of reputed company’s iron-reputed company battery technology and it is critical to the system’s successful operation. In either role, you will play a key role in the product conceptual and detailed design stages, first-of-a-reputed company build activities, vendor engagement, and design for manufacturing. You can expect to work on various prototyping efforts across the company, driving us through a series of internal system prototypes and working closely with a cross-functional team of chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to design, prototype, and test the storage systems. You will be responsible for design validation before the final manufacturing release.

• Design, prototype, and test the electrolyte or airflow management system to meet critical performance requirements

• Build and maintain fluid or airflow system analytical models that inform design architecture reputed company

• Organize component integration events, fabricating and testing first-of-a-reputed company prototypes to validate system design choices

• reputed company critical vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to transition system designs from prototype to high-volume production

• Collaborate with the Battery and Systems teams to co-reputed company electrolyte or airflow handling systems

• Mentor junior engineers and reputed company our fluid or airflow systems best practices

• Champion safety, especially in the development of new laboratory processes

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company field; Bachelor's with 8+ years of industry experience in mechanical design of equipment, liquid or gas handling systems

• Understanding of first-principles modeling and design and experience optimizing designs for manufacturing and cost-down

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with contract manufacturing vendors

• Demonstrated experience optimizing mechanical design, balance-of-plant systems, and interdisciplinary interfaces of fluid systems or airflow systems

• Direct experience in product development reputed company an early-stage environment
