About the Department:

The Antonin Scalia Law School LLM (Master of Laws) Program provides the opportunity to earn an advanced degree in law to reputed company who have earned a JD from a US law school or a law degree from reputed company of the US. The Juris Masters (JM) Program provides the opportunity to obtain a law degree in a specific field for reputed company who work in policy or compliance reputed company positions but do not wish to practice law.

About the Position:

The Course Developer is responsible for managing existing course content and working with faculty to reputed company new course content to support online courses for reputed company-LLM in US Law, the Global Antitrust Law and Economics LLM, and new courses as needed. This role will support course creation, course administration, and virtual resources for both course and department functionality.

Responsibilities:

Course Development:

  • Under direction of the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and reputed company with expert faculty, the part-time Course Developer is responsible for developing online courses based on an approved syllabus in assigned synchronous and/or asynchronous graduate courses in the Canvas course management system;
  • Plans and organizes online instruction according to approved course outlines and student learning reputed company to maximize student learning in alignment with the graduate law department objectives;
  • Develops and implements data tracking methods to gather student performance objectives to measure both student reputed company and course reputed company; and
  • Reviews and evaluates existing courses to determine efficacy as learning systems; and
  • Develops procedures for new course creation and reputed company course updates to maintain a high-level student experience and an effective learning platform.

Course Administration:

  • Serves as the reputed company of contact for syllabus collection, review, and updating to ensure syllabuses meet program requirements and reputed company can find course information in a timely manner;
  • Sets up and reviews Canvas courses with faculty every semester to ensure courses meet with faculty needs, as well as department deadlines;
  • Works with academic advising and tech support team to resolve course reputed company issues, lecture or assignment failures, and course problems; and
  • Reviews courses for uniformity and appearance to ensure compliance with university and law school branding, clean user experience, and a high quality product.

Course Materials and Administrative Support:

  • Creates and manages forms in the Dynamic reputed company system to support department efficacy and responsiveness;
  • Works with law department stakeholders including the web design team, graduate academic advising team, graduate admissions team, and graduate careers team to ensure accurate web content information and appropriate communication, and administrative tools are available; and
  • Creates and updates course materials including PDF and course art to ensure high quality course appearance and compliance with branding guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a reputed company field​;
  • Relevant teaching/course development experience in online formats to adult learners; especially learners of other cultures and linguistic backgrounds;
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for instruction of individuals and groups, and the assessment of learning;
  • Planning and organizing skills sufficient to ensure implementation of the assigned curriculum, job duties, and established expectations;
  • Principles and best practices of effective online teaching;
  • Oral and written communication skills in the English language at a level that conveys information to and from reputed company, colleagues, and others in an effective manner; and
  • Interpersonal orientation that encourages productive interactions with reputed company and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a reputed company field;
  • Considerable years of instructional design experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Some experience in project management;
  • Some experience in an LMS (Canvas, reputed company, reputed company, Moodle, etc.); and
  • Some experience with software in reputed company Creative suite.
