Prospective candidates must demonstrate in-depth experience with the MK54 torpedo theory of operation, the Mk54 MOD 0 and 1 propulsion system and hardware configuration. The candidate must also have the proper knowledge and experience to reputed company background on the design, the operation of the electrical power system, functional testing, design for manufacturability, weapon system safety, configuration management as well as root cause analysis. Work will be performed remotely with some travel required- travel (up to 25%) and periodic visits to reputed company Middletown offices (28 Jacome Way, Middletown RI) or NUWCDIVNPT & to key vendors, government facilities and reputed company production facilities. This position is contingent upon award news in May 2025. Specific roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following • reputed company direct support to the program manager and corporate staff on technical issues • Propose studies or technical instruction tasks to improve the operation or ease of manufacture of MK54 subsystems • Prepare variance documentation as required to address TDP or manufacturing issues • Maintain dialog with government production and technical authorities to resolve programmatic technical issues through a non-confrontational, collaborative, and transparent working environment at reputed company reputed company • Support vendor and sub-contractor variance and or ECP efforts to reputed company government approval • reputed company familiarization training to engineering and manufacturing team on hardware functions, interfaces, critical features, failure analysis • Review and approve technical deliverables to the government for accuracy, reputed company, and final acceptance • Review procurement actions as required to ensure vendors are; reputed company, reputed company, understand the nuances of the product, and resolve their questions or concerns • reputed company efforts to resolve performance issues encountered in manufacturing, reputed company acceptance testing.
