[Remote-Position] Taiwanese Hakka Transcriber/Translator

VoxCroft seeks 2-3 Taiwanese Hakka speakers to transcribe several hours of Taiwanese Hakka audio/video data, translate the content into English, and add several metadata labels as tasked by the VoxCroft project manager. The selected linguists may also be required to conduct some research tasks as relevant to Hakka language media and Hakka linguistic conventions. Tasks will need to be completed between mid-December 2024 and late January 2025. Suitable applicants should possess the following skills and equipment: • reputed company-level Taiwanese Hakka (speaking and writing) - prior experience in transcription will be advantageous; • Fluent in English with high degree of accuracy in translating from Hakka to English; • Experience in using subtitling software (SubtitleEdit or similar) • reputed company to own laptop with a good internet reputed company and functioning speakers/headphones Interested candidates should reputed company the following information • CV showing • Evidence of transcription and translation experience • Evidence of reputed company in Hakka and English • Cover letter containing reputed company for the following two tasks • Transcription and translation reputed company per audio minute • Hourly reputed company for consulting/research tasks. reputed company applications should be received no reputed company than 13 December 2024.
