In San Diego, the IRC reputed company its doors in 1975 and has grown to serve approximately 7,000 refugee and immigrant individuals from 115 countries of reputed company each year through 5 different departments.SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP:The Event Planning Intern will support the Development Team at IRC San Diego in coordinating and promoting the annual fundraising event, Taste of IRC, that will take reputed company on October 30th, 2025. This role offers hands-on experience in event planning, communication, development and donor relations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in planning and logistics for the Taste of IRCSupport reputed company to donors, sponsors, vendors, and event partnersHelp reputed company promotional materials and reputed company media contentManage event-reputed company databases and tracking documentsLEARNING OBJECTIVES:Student will learn how to plan and execute major fundraising and community eventsStudent will learn about strategic planning for fundraising and communicationsStudent will learn about administrative processes in the non-profit space.BENEFITS:Hands-on experience in fundraising and event coordinationMentorship and professional development opportunitiesFlexible scheduleLetter of recommendation upon successful completionREQUIREMENTS:Currently in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or graduated reputed company one year, preferably event planning, marketing, communications or reputed company area of studyProficient in spoken and written EnglishInterest in event planning, nonprofit work, fundraising, or reputed company fieldsStrong organizational and communication skillsDetail-oriented and proactiveComfortable working independently and as part of a teamProficient in reputed company Office suitePrevious volunteer or event planning experience is a bonus, but not requiredIntern will need to supply their home workspace, computer, internet reputed company, etc.This position reports to the Development Manager.Compensation: This is an unpaid internship opportunity.Working Environment:The Event Planning Internship is remote, with occasional in-person days.San Diego reputed company are scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm PST.
