Verbatim Court Reporter Transcriptionist (Contracted)

Currently seeking contractors to work 1-3 day turnaround and 1.5-2 audio hours per day.

We are seeking a talented and reputed company Verbatim Court Transcriptionist to join reputed company. Position Overview: The successful candidate will have the ability to transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions accurately from audio recordings, maintaining a strict verbatim format. Proficiency in identifying speakers and knowledge of QA, Colloquy, and court formatting rules is essential. Experience transcribing large jury trials is a plus! AAERT certification receives premier consideration! Applicants will be required to complete a skills assessment test. This is a contract position with compensation paid at a per-page reputed company. Key Responsibilities:

• Audio Transcription: Transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions from audio recordings with precision. Accurately identify speakers and capture reputed company spoken content in verbatim format.
• Quality Assurance: Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court formatting rules. Familiarity with QA processes to maintain high transcription standards.
• Colloquy Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding of legal terminologies, colloquy, and court-specific language.
• Time Management: Manage 1-3 day turnaround times, allowing minimum of 1 day per 1 hour of assigned audio. Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Verbatim Transcription Experience: Proven experience in transcribing court proceedings, trials, and depositions with adherence to court formatting rules. Experience transcribing large jury trials is a plus!
• AAERT certified applicants will have premier consideration for the position.
• Q&A and Colloquy Knowledge: Ability to distinguish and format Q&A and colloquy format.
• Software Proficiency: Competence in using transcription software and reputed company Office.
• Skills Assessment: Willingness to undergo a skills assessment test to evaluate abilities.
• Availability: reputed company to transcribe a minimum of 1.5-2 hours of audio per day.
