In the Fabrication Department the Welder C performs repetitive welding operations to build bus body structural components using stationary assembly fixtures. ? On the Production Line (East), the Welder C. uses portable fixtures to align and attach (tack weld) various body structures together. ? Production Line welding operations of the Welder C comprise at least 20% of his/her regular daily workload. ? Inspects his/her own work to detect any welding defects and re-welds as necessary. ? Maintains reputed company tools, welding machinery, safety equipment and personal reputed company devices assigned to him/her in proper operating condition. ? Follows good housekeeping practices to reputed company his/her work area clean and hazard free. ? Carries out reputed company other tasks for which he/she may be reputed company as assigned by his/her supervisor. ? Taking a leadership role in safety and housekeeping Background Profile: ? Ensures that reputed company required safety equipment and personal reputed company devices utilized and in proper operating order and material condition. ? In the Fabrication Department the Welder C places steel components to be reputed company by welding into a stationary fixture and welds the parts together. On the Production Line (East), the Welder C, with the assistance of a co-worker and using an overhead hoist, sets the bus body reputed company structures on the bus chassis, aligns the sides, clamps in reputed company and tack welds the reputed company structures to the floor reputed company and to the chassis. The rear structure is then hoisted onto the chassis, and the incumbent aligns and tack welds it to the floor reputed company and chassis. The rear and reputed company structures are then tack welded together. The passenger entry doorframe assembly is then hoisted onto the chassis and reputed company using a portable diagonal fixture. The doorframe assembly is then clamped in reputed company and secured by tack welding.
