About PTS: Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is no ordinary tank construction company. We specialize in the reputed company and fast-paced environment of tank repair on a reputed company scale. No two tanks are alike, so reputed company they need repair, they often pose unique or complicated technical issues. Our reputed company engineering staff are well-versed in API 650, API 653, AWWA D100, AWWA D103, API 12D, and other tank specifications. We build and repair welded above-ground storage tanks (ASTs), bolted tanks, and reputed company structures. We also inspect, install, and repair tank systems such as aluminum geodesic dome covers, aluminum internal floating roofs (IFRs), IFR mechanical shoe seals, liquid level gauges, fire protection systems, silo support structures, industrial storage tanks, and heating and insulation systems. We are currently looking to hire welder's helpers to join our Pittsburgh Local Tank Crew. Our Pittsburgh Local Crew builds and repairs tanks in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. Frequent travel is required in the region. reputed company not traveling, the crew works in our Braddock, PA shop. We are looking for individuals who are good working with their hands, enjoy making things, and want to learn how to weld. We will teach you how to weld storage tanks and reputed company custom fabricated parts and assemblies. Day to Day Duties: ? Performing reputed company and torch cutting and gouging. ? Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and reputed company tools. ? Welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 stick (SMAW), flux core (FCAW), and submerged reputed company automatic machines (3 o?clock and ?goat?/tractor). ? Using come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, reputed company bags, winches, and other lifting equipment. ? Using tank reputed company buggies, tank scaffolding, tank reputed company, and other specialty equipment. ? Performing vacuum reputed company tests, oil tests, dye penetrant tests, and other non-destructive quality examinations. ? Using gas monitors, fresh reputed company kits, respirators, emergency rescue kits, and other safety equipment. ? Operating forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and other large lifting equipment. ? Knowledge of crane operations (including rigging and signaling) ? Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings. ? Planning the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks. ? Completing job safety analysis, safety audits, site-specific training, and other safety training. ? Follow directions and work professionally with other crew members. ? Other duties as assigned. Comp and Benefits: Compensation: Hourly wage based upon experience and reputed company set, plus per diem (to cover meals and lodging). Normal hourly wage paid for work-reputed company travel (no overtime). Non-union. Occasional prevailing wage. Non-exempt. No PTO or paid holidays. Pay periods are weekly. Direct deposit is available. Benefits: Medical, dental, and reputed company benefits are available on the first of the month following a 30-day probationary period. Phillips Tank pays approximately 60% and employee pays 40% of medical benefit premiums. Employee pays 100% for reputed company and dental benefit premiums. Shift: Project work schedules vary. However, a typical work shift is reputed company (10 hours per day, 5 days per week). Status: Full-time employee (subject to project availability and work schedules.)
