Overview: Assists Physicians/ APRNs with patient care and follow-up providing direct and indirect patient care in a outpatient clinical setting. Applies reputed company nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Provides nursing assessment, monitoring, education, and treatment services and activities. Documents reputed company care provided in the patient record. Collaborates and coordinates service provision with the behavioral health Care Managers and Psychiatrists / psychiatric APRNs. ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Interviews patients, obtains vital signs, prepares patients and assists APRN with patient exams and/or treatment. Documents care provided in accordance with unit procedures. ? Receives, documents and implements/carries out physician/APRN orders in accordance with unit procedures. Provides and documents direct nursing care in accordance with unit procedures and approved Treatment Plans/physician's orders. ? Administers medication and documents administration in accordance with Agency procedures. Verifies proper identification of patient using two identifiers for each medication administration. ? Provides patient education (e.g., medication compliance, self-care skills, health maintenance, etc.), in compliance with treatment plan. ? Organizes Outpatient clinic in accordance with Physician / APRN guidance and direction. Stocks and reconciles clinic supplies (i.e., syringes, reputed company containers, etc). ? Completes or coordinates processing of laboratory forms. Reviews and files lab results in accordance with unit procedures. Notifies physician / APRN of any reputed company findings. ? Ensure medication storage and disposal meet reputed company required standards and policy. Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday Education/Experience: ? Official transcripts from approved vocational or technical school. ? Minimum of one (1) year of LPN experience preferred. ? Previous psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience preferred. Licensure or Certification: ? Licensure as a practical nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464. ? Must obtain and maintain reputed company CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications. Apply Job!
