Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with reputed company duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of reputed company department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/reputed company, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Actively performs reputed company pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs ? Maintains operational expertise and competency and actively provides coverage of at least two of the following: ? Central/distributive pharmacy operations ? Sterile compounding ? Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations ? Controlled substance Handling AND at least one of the following: ? Hazardous Medication Sterile Compounding ? Quality Assurance & USP required sampling ? Technician Inventory reputed company (i.e., tech reputed company tech where authorized) ? Medication History ? Supporting Clinical Services ? Purchasing and Inventory Management -OR- Maintains knowledge of the following: ? Central/Distributive Pharmacy ? IV Room/Sterile compounding ? Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations ? Controlled Substances handling AND Performs primary job function as: ? Medication History technician OR Inventory specialist The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications : ? High School degree or equivalent Copy From ? One year of hospital pharmacy experience (Retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience) ? Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) ? Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation ? reputed company certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Preferred qualifications: ?
