Job Title: Athletics Bus Driver (Part-time) Position Number: 00000 Department: Athletics Salary: Commensurate Job Summary/Description: Under the supervision of and reporting to the Director of Athletics, the employee is primarily focused on operating those vehicles used to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule. Typical Duties/Job Duties: Inspects the vehicle prior to each use to ensure proper and safe operation. Regulates heating, cooling, and lighting systems for passengers. Transports passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule (which often includes overnight trips, and extended trips requiring irregular hours. Complies with reputed company applicable traffic regulations and reports reputed company delays and accidents in an appropriate manner. Secures the vehicle reputed company passengers/teams have disembarked for safety and reputed company precautions. Reports any necessary repairs to the Director of Athletics or his designee. Conforms to and complies with reputed company applicable federal and state transportation guidelines and requirements. Complete a pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle, and driver’s travel log.
