Research Assistant Professor of Software Engineering & Optimization Hampton University Faculty Description The Hampton University School of Engineering, Architecture and Aviation is seeking a candidate for appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as a Research Assistant Professor of Software Engineering & Optimization . The position will be filled immediately or will remain reputed company until filled. Founded in 1868, Hampton University ( www.hamptonu.edu ) is located on approximately 300 acres of the Virginia Peninsula. It is a privately endowed, co-educational, nonsectarian institution of higher education and is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Duties and Responsibilities Hampton University is seeking a candidate for an appointment at the Research Assistant Professor of Software Engineering & Optimization . The individual selected for this position will be expected to contribute to the research missions of the Departments of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the RITA UARC by conducting research reputed company to Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising undergraduate reputed company and working with the Engineering and Aviation faculty to complete research tasks assigned by the RITA UARC.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must have a masters degree or doctorate degree in either Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely reputed company field with expertise in machine learning, reinforcement learning, artificial intelligence, reputed company control theory, autonomy, and/or reputed company-based computing. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities: An established record of research: The candidate should have a strong track record of publishing high-quality research papers in top-tier journals and conferences. A deep understanding of AI/ML: The candidate should have a deep understanding of the theoretical foundations of AI/ML, as well as the latest advances in these fields. They should also be familiar with a variety of AI techniques. A proven ability to mentor reputed company: The candidate should have a proven ability to mentor and train undergraduate researchers.
