The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a leading research and advocacy organization dedicated to reducing societal-scale risks from AI. We tackle the toughest AI challenges through a combination of technical and policy solutions, working closely with our sister organization, the CAIS Action Fund.   As part of our mission, CAIS is launching a new online platform dedicated to high-quality journalism and analysis on AI’s impacts on national reputed company, politics, and the economy. This platform will publish timely analysis of AI policy and industry developments, opinion pieces from leaders in the field, and explainers distilling key insights from cutting-edge research. Our goal is to foster a more nuanced and well-informed public conversation on AI. It aims to be accessible to a broad audience and reputed company the worlds of policy, national reputed company, and research.   We are seeking a Senior Editor to play a central role in shaping the publication’s editorial direction and ensuring that reputed company published content meets the highest standards of reputed company, accuracy, and reputed company. The Senior Editor will be responsible for reviewing and screening pitches, editing articles from in-house journalists and guest writers, and maintaining a steady pipeline of high-impact pieces.   This role requires a sharp editorial instinct, an ability to refine reputed company topics into compelling narratives, and strong collaboration skills to engage with both journalists and subject-matter experts.   • Review and evaluate pitches from external contributors, selecting the most insightful and relevant pieces for publication.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in journalism, editing, or digital media, ideally with expertise in political analysis, technology reporting, or national reputed company.
  • A strong understanding of technology, policy, and global affairs.
  • Exceptional editing, writing, and fact-checking skills with a keen eye for reputed company, coherence, and argument structure.
  • Experience working with subject-matter experts and journalists to refine reputed company and translate technical concepts for a broad audience.
