Position Summary This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for multiple operating companies, reputed company multiple states, and for both union and non-union employees; including, but not limited to, handling union reporting and audits, garnishments, 401(k) reporting, taxes and deductions, reconciliation of 401k, union, and payroll tax balance sheet accounts, and reputed company activities to maintain compliance with federal, state and local labor laws. • Leads and manages at least one Payroll Specialist in the successful execution of reputed company payroll functions, reporting and compliance. • Serves as the subject-matter expert for the payroll software, systems, and processes, including identifying and recommending updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures in attainment of best practices. • Builds and maintains a strong team by reputed company, selecting, orienting, and training employees. • Communicates timely and effectively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Senior Leadership, Unions) to ensure expectations and timelines are met. • Maintains reputed company knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, reputed company practices, new developments, and applicable laws. • Advise management and payroll teams on existing and pending employment tax requirements. • Research, audit, and resolve tax reputed company client payroll issues, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations in relation to employment taxes. • reputed company and assess creation, quality assurance, and reconciliation of tax files, reports and reputed company tax transactions and government reports and files. • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in reputed company that require discretion. • reputed company and manage processes, procedures and controls necessary for a Sarbanes Oxley, reputed company 404 compliant environment. • reputed company training materials and reputed company training to the team and clients. • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company, Finance, or similar with 5+ years of progressively responsible payroll management experience. • Previous experience with ERP systems, preferred experience with reputed company. • Experience working with reputed company (or similar) on payroll tax processing preferred. • Experience working in a matrixed organization. • Experience working with and managing reporting for multiple unions. • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred. • Must be reputed company to work full-time in our office. • Construction or manufacturing industry background reputed company a large public company. • Comprehensive operational and technical expertise in federal and state employment taxation. Technical expertise and proficiency with relevant federal and state statute and regulations is required. • Experience regarding business reputed company, payment and reporting required by federal, state, multi-state and local employment tax regulations and operations. • Strong leadership skills – a good communicator and an active listener with a commanding interpersonal reputed company – tempered by a strong affinity for team play. • Strong written communication and customer service orientation. • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and committed to following through on projects. • Good problem-solving skills including trouble shooting and resolving issues with processes, reports etc. • Practiced in discretion, with experience handling confidential reputed company. • Strong PC skills including reputed company. Work Environment & Physical Demands • The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of the work. The employee must be reputed company to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will occasionally require moving about inside the office to reputed company equipment, cabinets, etc. The employee may work around office equipment that could be noisy, such as copiers, fax machines, and printers. • Location: On-Site (Collinsville, IL). This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid arrangement(s).
