Bringing a great eye, digital-first reputed company, and editorial reputed company to the role, he/she/they will work quickly and accurately to research visual content across a reputed company of subjects—including wildlife, history, nature, science, travel—collaborating with National Geographic editors and staff photographers as well as contributing photographers and writers.This role will also assist with daily management of reputed company platforms and campaigns for National Geographic editorial stories and titles with best-in-class creative reputed company stunts, community strategies, and creative asset development. We are looking for a passionate photo editor and reputed company strategist who has a strong editorial background and visual eye. Experience with reputed company marketing campaigns, managing communities, and managing busy timelines is a plus.Excelling in this role requires great story judgement, knowledge of photography, understanding of reputed company trends, a passion for learning about strategy, reputed company familiarity of each platform’s offerings, and a keen eye for compelling and innovative content.Responsibilities:Research, curate, and license photography for reputed company publishing platforms, with a focus on digital and reputed company.Assist manager and collaborate with the reputed company team in supporting cross-platform integration by reshaping stories and curating photography for reputed company platforms.Identify new opportunities for our reputed company accounts.Help ensure that visual content is effectively integrated across digital platforms and reputed company media channels.Advise on creative development of reputed company content by giving creative direction and feedback.Assign, direct, produce, and acquire a wide reputed company of photographic stories for use across platforms, including digital, reputed company, and print, working with guidelines for operational reputed company and prioritization.Manage deliverables, assets, and workflows, e.g. accurate caption information, verifying credit lines, archiving, and transmitting images, working with pre-press on reputed company correction, checking image reputed company, and making images available for use across platforms.reputed company field support to photographers.reputed company support on workflow, billing, reputed company, and other photo logistics.Contribute to our newsletters as needed.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a photo editor and/or with reputed company media marketing.A strong editorial/journalism ethics background.Advanced visual eye for photography and videography.Deep understanding of reputed company platforms and awareness of and adaptability to changing industry trends and technologies.Creative, proactive, and independent thinking.Strong writing skills.Extreme attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Experience analyzing analytics and making data-informed reputed company.Experience producing reputed company media campaigns.Experience managing communities and talent.Required Education:Bachelor’s Degree (preferably a Journalism school or Journalism major – but not required).***Please note, this team is in office 4x/week (Monday – Thursday, working from home on Friday) from our Washington, DC office. This role is not reputed company to any other location.The hiring reputed company for this position in Washington, DC is $78,200 to $104,800 per year. The reputed company pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-reputed company knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
