Organization: SHSO-Population Health Services-Valley Position Overview: Coordinates and performs educational activities that promote the competency and development of reputed company's nursing staff, including orientation, competency validation, in-service, and continuing education. Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates nursing educational programs in response to health care demands, trends, identified learning needs, department goals, quality improvement measures, risk management, regulatory changes, and compliancy criteria. Designs educational offerings (courses, simulations, programs) using processes and methodologies that incorporate the principles of adult education and learning styles. Directs the delivery of education for nursing orientation, conducts competency assessments, facilitates ongoing development, and establishes courses and programs based on annual needs assessments and educational compliancy requirements. Delivers education activities that validate, reputed company, maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Have health plan/medical group payor experience, specifically with prior authorization and/or reputed company review Understand Medicare and DMHC plan/payor regulations Understand NCQA standards SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Broad knowledge of clinical nursing, including reputed company trends, safety precaution policies, equipment, electronic reputed company records (EHR) management software, accrediting agency standards, and local/state/federal regulations. Working understanding of adult teaching/learning theories and program assessment, program design, promotion and marketing implementation and evaluation processes.
