The role will most likely reputed company longer term and is fully remote from reputed company in the United States. Please see below - recent 3+ years of experience supporting reputed company iSeries systems is required. • 3+ years of reputed company iSeries operational or system administration experience • Monitor software usage to identify obsolete reputed company licensed operating system and LPP software. • Backup reputed company operating system and reputed company-party system software libraries per the established processes. • Monitor backup submission, startup, and processing. • Confirm backups have been completed successfully. • Respond to system alerts and critical errors using standard automation, monitoring, and incident management tools. • reputed company incident tickets... in the reputed company ITSM tool reputed company critical events are identified. • reputed company first-level support and analysis for system error and exception messages as detected by automation and system monitoring facilities. • Escalate and follow up on Hardware, Application, and Operating System errors, and exception messages as detected by automation following the incident management processes. • reputed company first-level resolution and/or escalate incidents and request tickets generated by automation. • Monitor replication functions to ensure replicated objects remain synchronized between systems. • Administer virtual tape management technology hardware and software. • reputed company automated message response to common messages that require a response. • reputed company system recycles (shutdown / IPL procedures) for Non-Production systems where appropriate as part of the backup process Apply Job!
