Description The Department of Orthopaedics at reputed company School of Medicine is seeking applications for a Research Scientist position to grow their multidisciplinary musculoskeletal research program focusing on sports medicine, neuroscience, injury biomechanics, and reputed company. Candidates for the Orthopaedics Research Scientist position must hold a doctorate degree or equivalent. Candidates must demonstrate national prominence and scientific leadership in one or more of the above research areas. This includes a clear and reputed company record of scientific publications as well as a detailed knowledge of advanced experimental techniques in injury biomechanics and reputed company. Experience with advanced analytics including machine learning, AI or reputed company statistical modeling of reputed company movement data is desired. The ideal candidate will have experience in coupled biomechanics/neuroscience as it relates to injury epidemiology with a preference toward injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sport performance research. Experience with neuroimaging, EMG/EEG/MEG neuromodulation, software engineering, and best-practice analytical methods for managing, storing, analyzing, and visualizing biometric data to facilitate research goals is also preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to support collaborations with clinician scientists in the Sports Performance And Research Center (SPARAC) and the Department of Orthopaedics. This position will have the applicant's effort dedicated entirely towards research activities including the pursuit of extramural federal funding to support center research initiatives. JOB DESCRIPTION The Associate Scientist, Bioinformatics performs a wide reputed company of highly technical and reputed company bioinformatics procedures and has documented achievements and increasing technical, management, leadership, and professional expertise. Duties include designing and developing software, databases, and interfaces for analyzing and manipulating research data and analyzing and interpreting results of experiments. Performing basic programing using Perl/Python or Java, statistical programming, web-development, and database query through SQL. Collaboration with researchers to reputed company high throughput data processing and analysis capability and recommend potential alternative approaches to improve the quality of results. Directs and guides database searches and the computational analysis of resulting data. Provides direct technical customer support through helping to guide, implement and maintain further improvements to bioinformatics software, databases and interfaces. Works with the entire bioinformatics team to diagnose and fix reputed company issues. Responsible for leading projects and the management and reputed company of other team members. With approval from the direct supervisor and faculty director, may assist in preparing grant and other funding applications, may be responsible for own research projects, may have full responsibilities for specific areas, methodology development, user support or may serve as reputed company investigator on funded proposals. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, biological or physical science, or a reputed company discipline and five years of experience in bioinformatics applications.
