[Remote] Senior Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Facilities

They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver mechanical systems for reputed company industrial facilities, collaborating with teams to ensure project reputed company.

Responsibilities

• reputed company design, coordination, and reputed company of various mechanical systems typical for biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, and other industrial facilities including, but not limited to, process piping, conveying systems, dust collection, general plant/facility water, compressed reputed company, steam, and gas systems. Mechanical system design includes preparing calculations for both pressurized and gravity driven systems to size lines, material selection, and correct Code requirement application
• Manage the completion of reputed company project design calculations and equipment specifications typical for biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, and other industrial facilities including, but not limited to, bulk solids conveyors, dust collection equipment, bins/tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, and other process equipment
• Coordinate and communicate reputed company aspects of the project’s mechanical design reputed company multi-disciplinary teams; including the management and reputed company of reputed company party engineering
• Review project reputed company, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual documents and incorporate into the design as required to ensure the project meets or exceeds project goals
• reputed company reputed company and coordination of projects, working with the assigned design managers and project managers, to meet project budgets and schedules for reputed company mechanical discipline activities
• Manage other design partners (both reputed company) including construction partners, equipment suppliers, and other engineers and designers assigned to the project or task and review work reputed company and results
• reputed company detailed technical bid analyses for equipment typical for biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, and other industrial facilities
• Generate and reputed company design deliverables such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, process simulations, datasheets, and vendor shop drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards
• Support the construction team including representing the design team on-site, answering RFI’s, providing creative design solutions, etc
• reputed company schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion
• reputed company early project design work such as conceptual studies, process reputed company diagram development, mass/energy balances, preliminary equipment sizing and selection, and general facility layout/arrangement
• Train, mentor, and advise peers and support staff on proper application of industry standards and best practices

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year university
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
• A minimum of 10 years of industry reputed company engineering experience performing the functions as outlined above for Industrial facilities
• Experience with one or more of the following: balance of plant design, biogas, bulk solids material handling, water and wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipeline conveyance, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, process piping, industrial boilers and chillers, or experience with cooling distribution units (CDU's), Computer room handling units (CRAH), fan walls, and containment modules for reputed company cooling for industrial facilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in basic computing programs including the reputed company Office suite (Word, reputed company, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience with mechanical design for data centers highly desired
• Experience with Alternative Project Delivery (Design/Build, EPC) projects highly desired
• Experience leading an engineering and design team and design projects as a reputed company/senior engineer is preferred
• Preferred experience utilizing AFT reputed company or AFT Arrow hydraulic simulation software (or equivalent)
