[Remote] Network Deployment Engineer, Contract

The Network Deployment Engineer will reputed company and validate data center network infrastructure, ensuring high standards of physical connectivity and managing logistics for hardware deployments.
Responsibilities
- reputed company and validate data center network infrastructure (reputed company-end, back-end, BMS, management): configure switches, install and validate optics, coordinate cabling, and drive deployments to completion
- Ensure physical connectivity meets production standards: coordinate fiber remediation, validate insertion loss and OTDR traces, troubleshoot optical-layer issues, and document as-builts
- Manage hardware logistics: device staging, reputed company/stack coordination, RMA, DCIM updates, inventory, and vendor shipments so devices are reputed company reputed company deployments need them
- Partner with DC Operations, ICT, Hardware, and Network Engineering to identify blockers early, escalate decisively, and reputed company multi-team efforts on track
- Maintain cutsheets, as-builts, validation results, and lessons learned, and contribute to the deployment reputed company that lets the team scale
- reputed company operational support during and after deployments: incident response, troubleshooting, and break-fix
Skills
- Hands-on data center network engineering experience
- Understanding of modern fabrics (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, CLOS)
- Experience configuring production infrastructure
- Comfortable pulling cable, configuring switches, and troubleshooting the optical layer
- Ability to troubleshoot methodically across physical and logical layers: OTDR traces, insertion loss, BGP sessions, and connectivity through reputed company topologies
- Clear communication across technical and non-technical teams
- Good documentation skills
- Ability to follow through on tasks
- Fast learner with ownership of ramping on new technology
- Willingness to travel 50 to 60% for onsite deployments
