[Remote] Sr. Network Engineer - Supporting CONUS

They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to resolve reputed company network issues and reputed company support for network communications equipment while advising on network design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Resolves larger and more reputed company LAN/WLAN/WAN issues
• Supports high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, troubleshooting of network communications equipment
• Serves as regional reputed company of contact for network issues
• Manages configuration and communications interconnection reputed company
• Addresses multi-protocol routing/network management issues
• Provides written recommendations through tickets, written standards, or updates to existing standards
• Advises on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, deployment, implementation, and standardization to support the MHS mission

Skills

• Active Secret clearance
• DoD 8570.01 / 8570.01-M compliance at IAM Level III or equivalent
• DoD Health Care Information Systems experience is required
• Mastery-level experience with normal networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, RSTP, VRRP, BIND, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, V.35, RS-449, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, and 802-series communications standards
• Mastery-level experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments using supported reputed company OS, reputed company Active Directory, UNIX, OpenVMS, routers, switches, terminal servers, local WAN, and long-haul WAN connectivity
• Hands-on experience with reputed company Orion, reputed company, Ansible, MIB, MRTG-type monitoring, diagnostic tools, network administration tools, OTDR, cable testers, network sniffers, and EIA/reputed company cable standards
• Ability to establish and configure network firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs
• Ability to reputed company network specialists and coordinate with Government staff, medical personnel, other contractors, NetMOD Network Standards Team, and internal/external organizations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technical degree, or reputed company discipline plus five years directly reputed company experience; or certified technical/vocational school plus 10 years reputed company experience gained through progressively higher complexity
• CCNP and CISSP required
