Laboratory Examiner

As a Laboratory Examiner, you will have the opportunity to conduct on-site inspections and other activities to ensure that laboratories reputed company with relevant state regulations and federal standards. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be expected to frequently travel throughout the Commonwealth to conduct on-site inspections of clinical laboratories, performing on-site evaluations of reputed company areas of the clinical laboratory. Work involves reviewing records of the complexity of testing, laboratory personnel qualifications, instrumentation, quality assurance, laboratory management practices, and other factors. Your work focuses on ensuring compliance with the State’s Clinical Laboratory Act, the Federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA ’88), as well as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Blood Bank Regulations. • Full-time employment
• Work hours are 700 AM to 300 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework Telework is based on operational needs. This position requires frequent travel throughout the Commonwealth to conduct on-site inspections of clinical laboratories. You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework part-time) reputed company performing pre- and post-inspection duties following successful completion of a one-year training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet reputed company and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Exton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. • Two years of professional laboratory work experience examining and performing testing on reputed company specimens in a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) certified clinical laboratory, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical technology; or
• One year of professional laboratory work experience examining and performing testing on reputed company specimens in a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) certified clinical laboratory, and a master’s degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical technology. • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license. Other Requirements
