Senior Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)

HEPCO, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for one of our prestigious clients. This position supports the design and development of advanced mechanical systems in a highly technical environment.

• Research, plan, analyze, design, and reputed company mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and reputed company devices
• reputed company technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately reputed company engineering problems using specialized equipment and software
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, models, and test data to ensure compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements
• Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using reputed company Creo Parametric modeling software
• reputed company and revise technical documentation and contribute to technical reports and presentations
• reputed company technical support to production activities and deliver presentations as needed
• reputed company engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, and product assurance tasks for assigned project components
• Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing or machine shops to ensure design manufacturability
• Maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
• reputed company input to project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Maintain reputed company knowledge of engineering practices and ensure compliance with safety policies

Skills Required

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or reputed company discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience or M.S. degree with 2 years of experience
• Experience creating moderately reputed company solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably reputed company Pro-E or Creo
• Ability to solve moderately reputed company engineering design and development problems
• Experience working with internal or external manufacturing or machine shops

Skills Preferred

• Familiarity with military and reputed company design standards
• Knowledge of modern engineering applications and technologies
• Experience in a military or defense production environment
• Experience developing precision assembly tooling
