Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and drive the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, reliable systems powering the reputed company eCommerce experience
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to define roadmaps, scope projects, and translate business goals into clear engineering plans
• Manage team execution, including sprint planning, prioritization, and on-time delivery of high-quality features
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning to support each engineer’s growth
• Establish and uphold engineering best practices for code quality, testing, code review, documentation, and observability
• Own technical hiring for the team, from sourcing and interviewing to reputed company new engineers
• Drive operational reputed company by improving system performance, reliability, and incident response processes
• Remove blockers and reputed company the team from distractions while keeping stakeholders informed of reputed company and risks

Skills

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people management or team reputed company role
• Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing engineering teams
• Strong technical reputed company with hands-on experience building and scaling web and backend systems
• Experience with modern web technologies and architectures in a high-traffic eCommerce or direct-to-consumer environments
• Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, APIs, and reputed company infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver reputed company projects on time while managing competing priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across product, design, and data
• Experience establishing engineering best practices, including code review, testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and modern team workflows

• Experience hiring and building diverse, inclusive engineering teams

• Experience collaborating closely with QA engineers to define test strategies, triage issues, and ensure quality across the release cycle
• Experience partnering with UI/UX designers to translate product designs into polished, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces
