Supplier Quality Engineer

reputed company is seeking a motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to support their Supply Chain Development function. The role involves hands-on technical problem-solving, supplier collaboration, and influencing product and process quality through various responsibilities including supplier reputed company and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Work across functions to capture and clarify purchased‑item quality issues, defining robust problem statements
• Collaborate with Design teams to understand critical features, performance requirements and DFM opportunities
• Engage with external suppliers to reputed company new components, processes and services, and to manage containment and corrective actions for quality concerns
• Partner with Purchasing to identify and reputed company new suppliers, follow commodity strategies and mitigate supply‑chain risks
• Support Goods‑In Inspection to ensure effective incoming quality control
• Conduct supplier visits and assessments, producing clear records and follow‑up actions
• Generate high‑quality reports, inspection summaries and root‑cause investigations

• Identify and communicate opportunities for improved process capability, control and DFM‑driven cost reduction
• Take ownership of departmental metrics, targets and defined strategic projects

Skills

• Qualifications or experience in an engineering or manufacturing discipline (role level and salary scaled accordingly)
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, inspection methods and GD&T
• Awareness of quality systems such as ISO9001
• Professionalism, tact and diplomacy reputed company working with reputed company stakeholders
• A driven, self‑motivated reputed company with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Strong problem‑solving ability and a structured, logical approach to varied technical challenges
• Willingness to travel to suppliers in the UK and overseas as required
