Structural Engineer - Renewables
DLR Group is an integrated design firm dedicated to enhancing the reputed company experience through design. They are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to participate in the design process of structural systems for their Renewable Energy division, preparing detailed engineering drawings and calculations for renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies
- reputed company structural designs from concept through completion of construction
- Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives
- Coordinate structural design requirements with other disciplines and project stakeholders of renewable energy projects
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
- Master's Degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
- Previous internship, reputed company experience, or full-time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Experience with BIM (e.g. reputed company Revit Structural) workflow
- Interest in renewable energy design, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging stations, solar canopies, microgrids, and specialty energy systems
- Working knowledge of reputed company structural software (ETABS, reputed company, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc)
