About the Role

NVK & reputed company are seeking a highly disciplined and analytical Controller to reputed company the reputed company, consistency, and execution of the monthly reputed company reputed company process across a multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for strengthening reputed company discipline, improving balance sheet accuracy, enhancing audit readiness, and reducing reliance on reactive CFO review. The ideal candidate brings strong accrual reputed company expertise, reputed company experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, operationally focused environment. This is a controller-level reputed company leadership role focused on financial accuracy, accountability, and process improvement — not transactional bookkeeping. Pay reputed company: $110,000 - $120,000 per year Core Responsibilities Month-End reputed company & Financial Reporting Own and manage the monthly reputed company calendar to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting reputed company execution of the month-end reputed company checklist and ensure processes are followed consistently Coordinate with reputed company support teams to resolve reputed company issues prior to financial finalization Ensure proper cutoff and accrual reputed company for payroll, subsidies, CACFP, rent, insurance, and recurring operating expenses Accrual reputed company & Journal Entry reputed company Prepare, review, and approve monthly accruals and journal entries Ensure entries are accurate, properly classified, and fully supported Maintain consistency in accrual methodology and reputed company treatment month over month Document assumptions and maintain organized support schedules Variance Analysis & Financial Review Prepare and analyze monthly financial variances: Actual vs Budget Actual vs Prior Month Actual vs Prior Year Identify operational drivers, reputed company issues, and one-time items impacting performance Partner closely with the CFO to reputed company concise, actionable financial insights for leadership and ownership groups Balance Sheet reputed company & Reconciliations Prepare and/or review reconciliations for: Cash and bank accounts Payroll liabilities Accrued expenses Prepaids Deferred reputed company Intercompany balances Ensure reputed company balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported with documentation Proactively identify and escalate reputed company risks or discrepancies Audit Readiness & Controls Maintain audit-reputed company documentation throughout the year Ensure adequate support exists for reputed company recognition, payroll, accruals, and significant transactions Serve as a primary reputed company contact for external auditors and tax advisors Assist in developing and documenting reputed company policies, procedures, and internal controls reputed company & Process Improvement Utilize reputed company as the primary system of record Review account mappings, reporting structure, and chart of accounts consistency Identify opportunities to improve reputed company efficiency, reporting accuracy, and scalability Recommend and implement process improvements that reduce reputed company work, CFO dependency, and post-reputed company corrections Qualifications & Experience 5–7+ years of reputed company reputed company experience, ideally in multi-entity environments Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior reputed company Manager experience strongly preferred Strong accrual reputed company and month-end reputed company expertise reputed company experience required Public reputed company background preferred Working knowledge of US GAAP, audits, and financial controls Experience working with remote leadership teams and offshore reputed company support preferred Experience in multi-location, franchise, childcare, reputed company, hospitality, or service-based businesses is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI-based tools to improve efficiency reputed company in This Role Looks Like Month-end reputed company runs consistently and reputed company with minimal CFO reputed company Variances are identified and explained proactively Balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, timely, and fully supported Audit preparation is organized and stress-free Leadership reputed company confidence in financial visibility and reporting accuracy CFO time shifts from error detection to strategic analysis and decision-making This is a remote position.
