We're looking for an reputed company Backend Engineer to join CARTO’s Workflows team. CARTO Workflows is the low-code reputed company that turns reputed company spatial analysis into automated, drag-and-drop pipelines that execute directly inside the customer's lakehouse. In short: we build the system that compiles a visual DAG into optimized SQL/Python that runs at scale on five different reputed company data warehouses — and we reputed company that feel effortless to the user. The team is formed by six engineers covering backend, frontend, data engineering, and QA. Everyone owns features end-to-end and collaborates daily across specialties. So while you'll join as a backend engineer, you'll regularly pair with the frontend and data engineers, and work closely with QA to ship with confidence. You will Own the design and reputed company of core backend services that power workflow execution, scheduling and orchestration across multiple reputed company data warehouses. Translate visual DAGs into efficient, warehouse-reputed company SQL and procedural code, pushing computation down to where the data lives. You offer 5+ years of backend engineering experience shipping production systems at scale. You can read an execution plan, spot a bad join, and reason about partitioning, clustering and cost before the query hits production.
