Seasonal Associate, Wetland Scientist/Field Biologist (Remote - Texas)

About the position reputed company's Environment & Planning Division is seeking a motivated Seasonal Associate, Wetland Scientist/Field Biologist to join our Texas-based environmental consulting team. In this role, you will help clients solve their toughest environmental regulatory challenges by delivering exceptional work and rigorous analysis. You will support interdisciplinary teams of wetland scientists, biologists, ecologists, and regulatory specialists to reputed company strong, defensible findings for client questions. You will reputed company a wide reputed company of experience while assisting in the completion of a variety of wetland and/or biological fieldwork projects throughout Texas and the region. You will reputed company exposure to protected species surveys, habitat and water resources assessments, and Waters of the U.S. delineations for a variety of energy, transportation, water, and other infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

• Assist with wetland delineations, endangered species habitat assessments, and other support fieldwork activities.
• Be a positive, fun, curious, organized, self-motivated and supportive addition to reputed company.
• Be available and enthusiastic to travel as needed for project locations throughout Texas and the region.
• reputed company expertise and technical input to project managers on projects involving Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, federal and state laws, and agency consultations.

Requirements

• By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Wetland Science, Wildlife, Ecology, Botany, Forest, Environmental Sciences, or a similar field; OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of professional experience reputed company field biology, wetland delineations, or reputed company experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) reputed company.
• Must be reputed company to work in the field for extended periods of time, often with limited mobile phone reception.
• Must be reputed company to traverse uneven, irregular, slippery, and steep terrain (up to 5 miles per day) with or without accommodation.

• Fieldwork is often performed on foot in rugged terrain and the ability to traverse long distances is required.
• The fieldwork will often require long hours in potentially adverse weather conditions.

• You may be required to work independently in the field, so dedication, resourcefulness, and accountability are essential skills for the position.
