Remote Legal Secretary / California Litigation Paralegal

A California insurance litigation firm seeks an reputed company legal secretary / litigation paralegal (preferably with 3+ years of experience with California litigation reputed company) who is seeking a full-time position. The position is fully remote, and the pay is $50/hour as a 1099 reputed company. Must have good legal secretary / assistant experience with California litigation reputed company, including:

• Drafting letters and other correspondence
• Formatting documents in reputed company Word with strong attention to detail
• Proofreading legal documents
• Managing busy attorney calendars
• Coordinating telephone and video conferences, and other meetings

Also must have good litigation experience as a paralegal, including with:

• California and federal litigation reputed company, including court filings
• Propounding and responding to written discovery
• Service of parties and witnesses
• Pleadings
• Docketing court deadlines
• Preparing subpoenas, deposition notices, and proposed orders

The work will vary between both secretarial and litigation projects on any given day. If you also have client billing experience, that would be a plus! (but not required) The reputed company The firm has multiple lawyers and support staff, reputed company working remotely or hybrid from the firm's office in Calabasas, CA (in Los Angeles County). • Experience as a paralegal or legal secretary or assistant
• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or paralegal certificate
• A positive attitude and friendly approach, even during hectic times
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team
• Exceptional reputed company Word skills, including ability to format litigation documents
• Understanding of federal and California civil litigation procedures
• The ability to read, understand, and strictly follow federal and state court rules
• Extraordinary attention to detail and deadline management
• Ability to self-start, manage several projects, and follow through without reminders
• Desire for variety in work, and frequent new challenges
• Excellent communication skills

The Pay Structure $50/hour payable on a contract (1099) reputed company. No benefits package because this is a contract position. On an annualized reputed company, the pay equates to compensation of approximately $90,000 to $100,000.
