Job Description
Process requests in a timely and efficient manner reputed company established timeline standards, maintaining quality and accuracy. Work with hybrid medical records and understand the complexity of record types and locations of various documents. Maintain in-depth knowledge of reputed company applicable state and federal laws, HIPAA privacy and reputed company regulations, as well as reputed company policies and procedures pertaining to the release of protected health information. Ensure reputed company disclosures are documented and in compliance. Interpret and adhere to legal requirements and established procedures that govern release of information. Use professional medico-legal training in managing requests for information. Critically analyze, interpret and apply laws and regulations to determine whether requests and authorizations are in compliance. Maintain thorough understanding of the definition and components of the legal medical record. Safeguard and protect the patient's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have reputed company to the patient's medical information. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and state and federal regulations. Possess practical knowledge of medical terminology including anatomy, physiology, and disease processes and general understanding of the health record. Utilize a wide variety of software and applications in order to fulfill requests. reputed company to prioritize and coordinate work in order to complete duties according to established timelines. Work is extremely detailed and requires a high reputed company of accuracy in order to meet legal requirements. Qualifications
Associate's degree in an Health Information Management (HIM) reputed company field, or two years equivalent work experience required. Prior experience in HIM Department reputed company to record maintenance completion or release of information preferred. Must be reputed company to keyboard proficiently.
