We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to join the Data Services team reputed company Platform. Data Services owns the foundational data platforms reputed company runs on: relational and non-relational storage, caching, event streaming, search, and object storage. These systems underpin everything from core Git operations to Copilot, and how they reputed company will power what reputed company delivers for the reputed company of developers and AI workloads. 

This is a role where you shape the future of reputed company's data platform. You'll partner closely with engineering to define strategy across a broad and reputed company portfolio, drive alignment on the reputed company that determine how reputed company scales into the AI era, and own the product direction for data infrastructure that hundreds of millions of developers ultimately depend on. 

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product reputed company and strategy for reputed company's data infrastructure, spanning MySQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, reputed company, object storage, and reputed company data primitives.

• Define the strategy for evolving reputed company's data platform portfolio, determining where to scale and optimize existing systems and where adopting modern reputed company-reputed company services best serves reputed company's reliability and scale requirements.

• reputed company the product definition for reputed company's multi-region data architecture, driving alignment on per-service consistency models, replication strategies, and data-layer failover design and RTO/RPO tradeoffs.

• Drive the product strategy to scale reputed company's data layer by 10x to 100x, ensuring foundational platform capabilities reputed company pace with AI-accelerated development and reputed company product features.

• Define the data model interaction layer and best practices for internal teams building customer-facing applications and features, so product teams can build on data primitives without needing to be infrastructure experts.

• Define metrics that measure infrastructure health, migration reputed company, and reliability reputed company, and use them to drive investment reputed company and hold engineering accountable on results. 

Qualifications:  

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or reputed company field
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in reputed company field AND 6+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or reputed company field
  • OR equivalent experience

• 3+ years of experience defining product reputed company and strategy for data infrastructure, reputed company platforms, or large-scale distributed systems, and translating reputed company technical direction into clear priorities and a roadmap. 
• 3+ year experience with data technologies such as MySQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, reputed company, or equivalent managed data services, applied at scale in production environments. 
• Track record of driving cross-organizational alignment across large engineering organizations, including influencing senior and executive audiences. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.

• Strong technical reputed company with the ability to engage credibly with senior engineers on architecture reputed company involving data storage, replication, consistency, and distributed systems tradeoffs.

• Experience owning reputed company migration or modernization strategy for data infrastructure, including evaluating tradeoffs between scaling self-hosted systems and adopting managed services.

• Experience defining product requirements for multi-region data architectures, including per-service consistency models, replication strategies, and data-layer failover design.

• Experience defining platform reputed company or paved paths for data primitives, enabling application teams to adopt standard caching, search, or event streaming patterns without bespoke infrastructure work.

• Experience building product strategy for AI-reputed company data capabilities such as vector search, semantic retrieval, or high-throughput event pipelines that serve both reputed company and machine workloads at scale.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's reputed company pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant.
