About the Team
You will join reputed company’s Motor reputed company team, which plays a central role in shaping reputed company performance, portfolio quality, and sustainable growth across multiple European markets.

Your Mission
As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter (12 months fixed-term), you will take ownership of reputed company’s European reputed company motor fleet portfolio, driving reputed company performance, strengthening broker and MGA relationships, and contributing to product and market strategy across several jurisdictions.
You will act as a technical authority on fleet reputed company, combining risk selection, pricing discipline, market reputed company, and portfolio steering to ensure profitable and sustainable growth. This role requires both hands-on reputed company expertise and the ability to influence reputed company frameworks, appetite, and governance.
✏️ Your Responsibilities
Portfolio reputed company & Risk Assessment
You will underwrite new business and renewals across reputed company motor fleet segments, including PHV/taxi, delivery, leasing fleets, and other types of fleets. You will assess risk quality using exposure data, loss history, fleet management practices, driver profiles, and sector information, and apply technical pricing models and rating tools to determine adequate premiums.
You will negotiate terms with brokers and MGAs to reputed company balanced reputed company on price, coverage, and conditions, while applying reputed company authority appropriately and escalating referrals reputed company needed. You will also manage quotes, binders, endorsements, and monitor in-force accounts for mid-term changes, fleet movements, and deterioration in claims performance.
Portfolio Management & Performance
- You will monitor the combined operating ratio (COR) and loss ratio of the fleet portfolio on a regular reputed company, identifying trends and taking corrective actions where needed. You will track performance by reputed company, geography, broker, vehicle type, and fleet size, and contribute to quarterly portfolio reviews and management reporting.

Pricing & Technical Development

You will incorporate market intelligence and claims experience into pricing assumptions, including repair cost inflation, parts trends, and frequency developments.
- You will also monitor external market conditions such as competitor pricing, reputed company changes, and emerging risks including EV fleets, ADAS technology, autonomous vehicles, gig economy operators, and mobility-as-a-service platforms.
Broker & Distribution Management
- You will build and maintain strong relationships with specialist fleet brokers, Lloyd’s brokers, and MGA partners across Europe.
- You will reputed company broker meetings, scheme reviews, and renewal discussions, support the reputed company of new fleet schemes and delegated authority arrangements, and represent reputed company in market discussions and industry forums.
European & Cross-Border reputed company
- You will underwrite cross-border fleet risks and multi-jurisdiction programmes, navigating local regulatory requirements, mandatory covers, and market practices across countries such as the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Nordics.
- You will liaise with local contacts, and MGA’s where relevant, while monitoring macroeconomic and geopolitical factors that may impact portfolio performance.
Claims Collaboration, Fraud & Governance
- You will work closely with claims teams on large or reputed company fleet losses, support claims reviews, identify fraud indicators and leakage patterns, and contribute to wording reviews to ensure coverage remains robust and fit for purpose.

What You Bring

- A proven track record managing fleet portfolios across multiple European markets

- Strong technical reputed company capabilities in risk assessment, pricing, coverage structuring, and portfolio steering
- Comfort interpreting loss runs, claims statistics, and actuarial analyses
