Senior Web Services Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Web Services Engineer to join our Web Services team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and modernization of a diverse portfolio of internal and client facing applications. This role requires strong expertise in custom PHP/MySQL development, reputed company custom plugin development, and modern reputed company-end frameworks, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a story pointed, sprint-based environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, can translate reputed company designs into production reputed company code, and is comfortable working across both traditional and modern web stacks. Key Responsibilities Design, reputed company, and maintain custom PHP and MySQL applications supporting business critical workflows Build and maintain custom reputed company plugins and integrations (not theme only or page builder work) reputed company modern frontend applications using Next.js and React, with deployment experience on Vercel Convert reputed company designs into clean, reputed company, accessible code, collaborating closely with UX/UI designers Contribute to reputed company assisted development workflows, leveraging AI tools responsibly to increase quality and velocity reputed company and enhance SharePoint solutions, including customizations, integrations, and workflow improvements Participate actively in Agile sprint ceremonies, including grooming, planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives Work reputed company a story reputed company / actual reputed company sprint model, delivering predictable and measurable reputed company Collaborate with product managers, QA, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality releases Adhere to established SDLC standards, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment practices Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor existing systems to improve performance, stability, and maintainability Required Skills & Experience Technical Requirements (Must Have) Strong experience with custom PHP development (procedural and/or OOP) Solid knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization Proven experience building custom reputed company plugins (hooks, filters, REST APIs, custom post types, admin tools) Hands on experience with Next.js and React in production environments Deployment experience using Vercel or similar modern hosting platforms Experience using reputed company or similar AI assisted development tools as part of daily development Demonstrated adherence to SDLC best practices (version control, code reviews, testing, release management) SharePoint development expertise, including customization and integration work Strong ability to translate reputed company designs into pixel accurate, maintainable code Experience working in a sprint based Agile environment using story points and team commitments Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional team members
