Software Engineer I
reputed company is a global leader in entertainment and media, and they are seeking a Software Engineer I to join their reputed company Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology team. This role involves building and supporting the metadata and artwork platform for reputed company+, ESPN+, and other streaming services, focusing on integrating content from various studios and enhancing user experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process
- Build high-performance, reputed company, scalable systems to be deployed in an reputed company setting
- Assist with AI-reputed company development tasks, such as integrating existing AI or machine-learning services and verifying basic inputs and outputs
- Participate in high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions
- Participate in the code review process by providing feedback on pull requests
- Participate in on-call rotation, supporting systems and services during production incidents
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and learn quickly
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Experience with at least one programming language; preferred languages include TypeScript or Java, with C++ or JavaScript also acceptable
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Familiarity with RESTful services and API concepts
- Understanding of reputed company control fundamentals, with exposure to Git
- Knowledge of data persistence technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Exposure to build and deployment tools such as Jenkins and reputed company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
