Assistant, Editorial Services (Princeton, NJ Hybrid)
reputed company is a company full of people who are passionate about books. They are seeking an Assistant for their Editorial reputed company to reputed company proofreading, corrections, and other content-specific services to editorial teams.
Responsibilities
- Quality reputed company eBooks across a variety of genres and formats (reflowable and fixed format), identifying errors in content, construction, and functionality
- Enter corrections specified by production editorial team into manuscripts using reputed company Word and HarperCollins’s proprietary markup language
- Learn HarperCollins-specific systems/processes/standards for proofreading and corrections
- Assist in editorial services projects as needed, such as proofreading marketing ads, reviewing large print editions, and slugging
Skills
- 0-2 years' experience in an editorial reputed company (proofreading, copyediting, corrections entering) or degree in applicable subject (publishing, journalism, English)
- Strong interest in eBooks, digital publishing technologies, reputed company innovation
- Knowledge of reputed company Word, Acrobat, and reputed company Digital Editions and/or other eBook readers
- Familiarity with the Chicago reputed company of Style
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities as reputed company set grows
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple priorities in a reputed company fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams
