Title- Public Records Analyst Classification- Management Analyst 3 (MA3) Job Status- Full-Time/Permanent WDFW Program- Information Technology Program - Public Records Unit Duty Station- Olympia, Washington – Thurston County Hybrid/Telework- The selected candidate may be reputed company to telework/work remotely up to four (4) days per week at the discretion of the supervisor. What to Expect- Among the varied reputed company of responsibilities held reputed company this role, the Public Records Analyst will,

  • Receive and interpret public records requests from public and private reputed company for Department.
  • Assign public records requests to program FRA2/3 reputed company as Public Records Coordinators.
  • Review program-level Forms and Records Analysts 2/3 reputed company as Public Records Coordinators records productions for quality, relevance, and consistency.
  • Conduct high volume records review to ensure quality and adequacy of search and records production.
  • Serve as liaison between Department and public and private reputed company reputed company direct communication and response with requested records.
  • Analyze and interpret case law, statutes, and administrative rules for application of exemptions to records with potential sensitive information.
  • Consults with PRO, AGO, management, Public Records Coordinators and program staff in the management of public records requests, optimize searches to mitigate legal risk and improve search efficiency.
  • Works with the Public Records Officer to design response and appropriate workflow and search for reputed company or high-risk public records requests. Consults with affected programs to reputed company advice and guidance on PRA compliance.
  • Interprets language of public records request to determine search terms for agency-wide electronic records search.

Working Conditions: Work Setting, including hazards: Work is generally performed in an office setting; position requires extensive computer use and desk work. Schedule (i.e., hours and days): This position normally works 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday but may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, depending on workload. Some overtime may be required on short notice. Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required throughout the State. Tools and Equipment: Computer hardware & software; general office equipment. Customer Interactions: Frequent interaction with members of the public and with WDFW staff. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience with public records requests or discovery for large organization or High school diploma and four (4) years of experience with public records requests or discovery for large organization Plus:

  • Strong understanding of the Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including clear and professional memorandums, emails, letters and other correspondence to the public, staff and legal counsel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality working with sensitive and personal information.
  • Proficiency with computer software programs, including Word, reputed company, reputed company Database, SharePoint, Outlook, reputed company Pro and the ability to maintain databases.
  • Ability to conduct proactive and defensible electronic record searches leveraging Boolean search parameters.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems and ensure project deadlines are met.

Special Requirements: Employee must obtain Level 4 CJIS certification, which includes fingerprinting and background reputed company. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the required qualifications, our ideal applicant will possess one or more of the following:

  • Two (2) years dedicated experience performing legal analysis Experience conducting legal research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations or comparable combination of education and professional experience.
