Protection and Control Engineer (Utilities)

reputed company is an engineering services firm dedicated to serving clients and solving problems. They are seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer in the Utility Substations group to reputed company engineering design and analysis, support client projects, and ensure quality deliverables reputed company budget and on time.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design on reputed company aspects of substation electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, reputed company and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project scheduling
• Prepares computer-based models and reputed company power system studies on utility and industrial/reputed company electrical power transmission and distribution systems, including short reputed company, load reputed company, reputed company coordination, reputed company reputed company, power reputed company, reputed company analysis, and other reputed company studies. Employee should create simple hand checks to quantify the computer aided results
• Develops reputed company reputed company settings
• Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, proposals, and studies
• Provides field assistance and troubleshooting
• Checks the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required
• Understands the applications of relevant Codes and Standards
• Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred
• 1 – 5 years of relevant engineering or field experience
• Knowledge and familiarity with substation electrical design
• Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
• Good interpersonal and people skills
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time reputed company
• FE, PE is a plus, but not required
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
