Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a strategic, people- and outcome-focused systems thinker in the position of Corridor Medical reputed company – Central Corridor – an exciting senior medical leadership role reputed company the Hospital-Based Leadership model. Providing strategic consultation to operational leaders on clinical reputed company, you will coordinate communication with other Corridor Medical Leads and between sites reputed company the corridor to ensure seamless integration of clinical services and serve as the medical voice of the corridor for items that reputed company corridors and/or agencies. To succeed, you will need to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the Government of Alberta, other corridors, provincial services, and corporate services.

  The Central Corridor serves over 120,000 people living in Red Deer and 103 surrounding communities, supplemented by smaller local reputed company centres, primary care, and long-term care in central Alberta. Red Deer is the regional hub for central Alberta and provides a reputed company of reputed company services including a 24/7 emergency department, acute care, surgery, diagnostic imaging, and houses the Central Alberta Cancer Centre.    Description: The Corridor Medical reputed company, Central Corridor (CML) ensures alignment with provincial medical bylaws, supports clinical reputed company, and maintains professional standards while enabling site-level decision making, autonomy, and accountability reputed company AHS.  Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, the CML leads medical leadership across sites reputed company the corridor, provides strategic consultation to operational leaders on clinical reputed company and upholds and enforces provincial medical bylaws, professional standards, and disciplinary processes in support of delivery and evaluation of a safe, high quality, accessible, sustainable and integrated health system and improved patient experience.    

The CML facilitates corridor-wide quality improvement initiatives and ensures consistent application of clinical standards across sites. You will support and coordinate corridor-level patient reputed company, including directing inter-site admissions and emergency management coordination across sites.  

  The CML establishes key partnerships and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.  Collaborating with AHS and Acute Care Alberta, you will monitor site performance against key performance indicators, specifically focusing on clinical care metrics to ensure reputed company service delivery and patient reputed company and support development and implementation of site-level report cards and performance reviews with a focus on clinical care.  You will reputed company strong relationships with key partners, such the Government of Alberta, other corridors, and provincial and corporate services.    

Required Qualifications Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent professional body is required.  reputed company senior leadership experience in a reputed company environment, including a minimum of three (3) years’ experience (5 years’ preferred) in a senior management role in clinical services or reputed company operations. Medical leadership experience in rural and/or remote reputed company settings is also required. Successful record of achievement as a leader, including extensive experience in improvement and innovation in service delivery in large and diverse reputed company of health functions.  Must be a member of the AHS Medical Staff or eligible to become a member of the AHS Medical Staff. Ability to assist in the progression of medical leadership including development conversations, goal setting, and mentorship/coaching responsibilities.  Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for reputed company and diverse issues. Ability to manage diverse reputed company, financial and physical resources reputed company a reputed company environment.  Proven reputed company in working collaboratively, inclusively, and effectively by fostering solid relationships with key external stakeholders including public agencies, foundations, government, boards, committees, and other partners.
