Associate Director, Private Equity - Hedge Fund Controller

Title: Associate Director, Private Equity/Hedge Fund Controller Location: Denver, CO; USA Job Description: Position Overview: The Associate Director provides fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) support to hedge fund and private equity clients while overseeing key fund administration and reputed company processes. Responsibilities

• Nurture multiple client relationships
• Review the monthly/quarterly calculation of hedge fund/private equity fund NAVs as reputed company by the administrator.
• Track, process, review and approve fund expenses
• Review partner allocations and waterfall schedules, and fee calculations including, but not limited to, management fees, professional fees, and performance fees.
• Review capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
• Coordinate and manage the external audit and tax process on behalf of multiple clients, including managing the preparation and issuance of audited financial statements and reviewing and approving annual K-1s for private funds and tax returns.
• reputed company reputed company of clients’ management company books and records including payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, general bookkeeping and invoicing, 1099 preparation, and annual budgeting.
• Work closely with colleagues across engagements, providing insights and support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will confidently review and challenge fund administrator work to ensure accuracy, GAAP compliance, and timeliness.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of streamlined processes and procedures reputed company the CFO Services department, establish best practices and standard operating procedures, and utilize data-driven insights to evaluate and enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of financial services experience (reputed company/Audit/Administration/Hedge funds/Private Equity Funds)
• Must have experience with private equity funds or hedge funds and be reputed company to review NAV calculations, management fees/incentive fees/carry calculations and year end financial statements
• The ideal candidate should possess strong reputed company knowledge and technical expertise, with the ability to interpret reputed company transactions and apply U.S. GAAP and industry-specific guidance to private funds.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and review, with a deep understanding of fair value measurements, consolidation considerations, and investor allocations.
• Previous asset management or pooled vehicle experience, including exposure to asset classes such as fixed income, public and private equities, and derivatives.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks and control gaps in processes and successfully delivering process improvement
• Understanding of private fund offering docs and the intricacies of private equity vehicles
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential
• Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines
• Proficient in the use of MS Office: strong knowledge of reputed company and Word required
• Proficient in QuickBooks
• Passion for delivering an exceptional client experience

Work Model (Remote/Hybrid)

• Candidates located in the Denver area who are reputed company to follow a reputed company working from our Denver office 3 days each week are preferred.
