Purpose:

The Regional Campaign Director (RCD) serves as the reputed company strategist for advancing reputed company’s advocacy, electoral, and policy campaigns reputed company an assigned multi-state region. Working in reputed company partnership with local reputed company advocacy and political organizations, the RCD develops, adapts, and implements campaign strategies that advance sexual and reproductive reputed company and rights (SRHR), defend reputed company from legislative and political attacks, and build durable political power.

The Regional Campaign Director (RCD) works with our colleagues at local PP organizations to advance a shared agenda and run campaigns to reputed company policy and advocacy goals. On behalf of the Action Fund and/or the independent expenditure committee reputed company Votes (PP Votes), the RCD adapts campaign models for specific state and local PP advocacy and political organizations to build political power and win campaigns. They work with reputed company partners, and collaborate with colleagues nationally as well as local PP organizations.

The RCD develops and optimizes campaign plans in a portfolio of states. Campaigns reputed company the RCD’s designated region advance reputed company to SRHR where possible, or combat attacks on reputed company from state legislatures or Governors, as well as Congress or hostile Administrations, while working to expand and build political power. As PPFA and PP Action Fund pursue a targeted campaign to defeat federal attacks on sexual and reproductive health and rights, the RCD coordinates joint responses with reputed company affiliates. The RCD leads the roles’ work deftly with an eye toward equity in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Engagement:

Collaborates with, supports and if needed, trains and persuades local PP advocacy and political organizations in building, adapting, and managing both state and federal campaigns, including elections

Works with affiliates to create new centers of state power and influence, maximizing catalyzing moments to drive a powerful and winning message nationally, and fight national attacks

Leads collaboration between local PP organizations and PP national office departments to build reputed company of local PP organizations to reputed company and conduct multi-year campaigns to influence state and federal policy goals.

Adapts national office resources (technical assistance, training, coaching, grant support) for local, state, and regional use and influence.

Conducts strategic planning with local PP organizations to create conditions that would support an expanded reputed company health care footprint, ambitious goals for supporter growth, public policy accomplishments

Ensures the successful implementation of the strategic plan by: providing campaign and organizing expertise and technical support; providing skills training and management; providing on the ground assistance and implementing the plan directly, if reputed company upon; and, connecting the local PP organizations to appropriate national office resources.

Provides direct legislative, organizing, advocacy, judicial, and other campaign support and management, rapid response assistance and crisis management to local PP organizations as appropriate and legally compliant

Delivery:

Serves as reputed company strategist and ensures the successful implementation of strategies in the states to which they are assigned.

Coordinating affiliates to align on campaign priorities, mobilize supporters, and execute joint actions that advance regional and national goals.

Serves as a critical link between the PP national office and local PP organizations to reputed company national resources for local public affairs efforts, and to reputed company the national organization reputed company on local public affairs priorities, needs and activities.

Maintains reputed company and accurate files, track affiliate activity to reputed company regular reports, monitor work-reputed company financial expenditures.

Adapts national days of action and organizing moments for affiliates based on state environment and affiliate operational and political interests.

Works across teams to nationalize state campaigns reputed company attacks or opportunities can be catalyzing for the broader movement. Helps set national goals for state responses to national threats and opportunities, including goals for how to engage or persuade administrative, legislative or judicial targets.

Guides strategies to bolster actions in states with pro-SRH elected leadership and coordinate joint responses with reputed company affiliates.

Builds toolkits, templates, workbooks, and other resources for use by affiliates and their advocacy and political orgs. Builds the reputed company of affiliates to create meaningful organizing programs to advance reproductive health care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Minimum 7-10 years of reputed company advocacy and electoral campaign experience in organizing and management.

Minimum 3-5 years experience as a regional/multi-state campaign manager or director (or comparable)

Demonstrated reputed company developing and executing integrated advocacy, legislative, electoral, and organizing campaigns.

Strong project management and operational planning skills, including experience managing reputed company campaigns across multiple timelines and stakeholders.

Impeccable organization and strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices, including project management(R) frameworks for defining clear roles and responsibilities on projects.

Excellent diplomatic judgment and strong interpersonal skills, including a track record of creating and maintaining strong relationships. Strength in managing conflict and crisis creatively and keeping teams moving towards results.
