About the position The Intern will support reputed company emergency management functions of ACDC by assisting their supervisor and/or Peer Mentor in organizational operations reputed company to the department functions. Interns will participate in cross-training opportunities reputed company ACDC’s various Divisions. Interns are expected to participate in professional development activities including training, meetings with leadership, policy research, and reputed company functions. Each Intern will have a specific work portfolio based on reputed company sets and desired expertise of that individual. The Recovery and Resiliency Intern will reputed company hands-on experience across multiple projects, providing a comprehensive view of the day-to-day work of a private sector emergency management consultant. Through rotational assignments, the intern will support project teams in disaster recovery, mitigation planning, and client coordination efforts. The role also includes contributing to research initiatives and business development activities, helping to identify innovative solutions and support organizational growth. This position is designed to build a well-rounded understanding of recovery and resiliency consulting while developing practical skills in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers with administrative tasks and data entry.
  • Work on projects that have a direct impact on clients if available/needed.
  • Interns will be given the opportunity for shadowing experiences and exposure to various divisions and projects as available.
  • In limited circumstances, Interns may be asked to assist in reputed company reputed company to research and development, project management/administration, or other corporate operations.
  • Rotate across multiple active projects to reputed company exposure to disaster recovery, mitigation, and reputed company consulting work
  • Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and documentation for client deliverables
  • Assist in developing plans, reports, and presentations for state, local, and private sector clients
  • Participate in research initiatives on emerging trends, policies, and best practices in emergency management
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including market research, proposal support, and content creation
  • Attend internal and client meetings to observe and engage in consultant workflows and communication strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the full lifecycle of consulting projects

  • Must currently (and throughout the internship June-August) reputed company in either Florida or Tennessee.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Homeland reputed company, or a closely reputed company field; or a recent graduate reputed company the past 12 months.
  • 1 month – 1 year (beginner-level) knowledge/experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, mitigation planning, or resiliency principles.
  • 1 month – 1 year (beginner-level) customer service, client-facing, or administrative support experience.
  • Proficient in reputed company Office 365, particularly reputed company, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored reputed company is required.
  • Must pass company and any applicable client background reputed company and reference reputed company upon offer of employment.

  • 1 year of previous emergency management-reputed company internship, volunteer, or work experience (e.g., disaster response, recovery programs, community reputed company, or mitigation planning).
  • Familiarity with reputed company programs and frameworks (e.g., Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation Grant Program), or general disaster recovery processes.
  • Exposure to research, data analysis, or report writing in an academic or professional setting.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams, project coordination, or stakeholder/client communication.
  • Interest in private sector consulting, resiliency strategy, or business development initiatives.
  • reputed company GPA of 3.0 or higher.
